Holden Commodore (2013 Series 2 VE)

Holden Commodore body

5 Pros

  1. The Holden Commodore has been an old Australian favourite for many years due to its large size and locally made appeal
  2. 5 out of 5 star safety
  3. Large interior (although the middle rear seat lacks good room for your feet)
  4. All the engines are very fast in a straight line (the V8’s are epic) and the car in general has an extremely comfortable ride
  5. Factory standard LPG now available (which is a benefit as it means cheaper fuel and a tank that won’t eat into boot space)

5 Cons

  1. Poor fuel efficiency compared to modern compact SUV’s
  2. Expensive compared to modern compact SUV’s
  3.  Badge value and prestige factor not as high as many modern compact SUV’s (yes, the Commodore is no longer Australia’s favourite car due largely to these three factors)
  4. Despite improvements, the interior still feels taxi spec
  5. Automatic gearbox reportedly not as good as the Ford Falcon and an update (the VF) us due for release in mid 2013

Concluding personality type: Dugong: Miraculous in many respects, but vulnerable to extinction
