Peugeot 3008

PEUGEOT 3008 2012

5 Pros

  1. The Peugeot 3008 has a sporty cockpit with a commanding driving position that actually makes you feel a bit like a pilot. Add to this the excellent head up display and you might just overestimate your ability
  2. 5 out of 5 star safety, fixed priced servicing and some terrific standard features such as a panoramic sunroof, auto headlights, rear air conditioning vents, hill start assist and a split tailgate
  3. Decent visibility all round makes it easier to drive in town than you might expect
  4. Diesel is fuel efficient and it is not that bad in the corners
  5. Rear parking sensors as standard (although we would prefer a camera)

5 Cons

  1. $7k more expensive than the more fuel efficient and faster Volkswagen Tiguan and the same price as the sales leading Diesel Mazda CX-5 (which comes with a reversing camera)
  2. Tight rear seat room, although the boot is very big
  3. Some questionable ergonomics and the 1.6L diesel engine is underpowered
  4. Front wheel drive only – so keep your off road and ambitions in check
  5. Pretty uninspiring looks (except maybe from the front)

Concluding personality type: Tour Down Under: Nothing that wrong with it, but the others are better
