5 Pros

  1. Boxy shape leads to a huge boot. This is, and has long been the Nissan X-Trail’s primary appeal
  2. Quite competent off-road (in the all wheel drive model)
  3. Nissan’s are generally reliable, and this one is built in Japan
  4. Decent visibility
  5. It looks like a proper 4WD

5 Cons

  1. 4 star safety. Fail
  2. Slower and less fuel efficient than the Mazda CX-5. Fail
  3. Sat Nav is not even an option on most models. Fail
  4. No standard reverse camera on the base model. Fail
  5. One magazine described it as “soggier than toast dipped in milk” (which roughly translates into the ride is horrible). Fail
