Nissan Leaf

Nissan Leaf body

5 Pros

  1. The Nissan Leaf is powered exclusively by electricity, but still does just about everything you would expect of a normal car
  2. Range of up to 170km with a top speed of 140km/h (although these figures are mutually exclusive)
  3. Installation of the appropriate (read expensive) charging station in your garage will see it charge in 7 – 8 hours
  4. Lots of standard equipment such as satellite navigation, a reversing camera and a solar panel on the roof
  5. 5 star safety rating and free hugs from polar bears

5 Cons

  1. At A$50k it is very expensive
  2. Range anxiety – now an offically recognised wikipedia condition
  3. Some question marks over long term battery reliability
  4. Not exactly a fun car – think Toyota Corolla
  5. Australia still uses dirty coal to create electricity

Concluding personality type: Jack in the box: Pretty much a normal box, and then the music stops…
