Holden Cruze Sportwagon (2013)

Holden Cruze Sportwagon

5 Pros

  1. The Cruze Spoortwagon has more interior space than the Cruze hatch and probably looks better as well
  2. Quite a comfortable ride
  3. Diesel engine has pretty good fuel efficiency
  4. Easy to load flat boot
  5. Pretty cheap when compared with a similarly sized mid size wagon such as the Mazda6 Wagon

5 Cons

  1. Despite the name, this car is not at all sporty
  2. Diesel engine is unrefined and the 1.8L petrol engine is underpowered and inefficient (the Sportwagon misses out on the best choice 1.4L turbo engine found in other Cruze models due to the fact that the Sportwagon is built in South Korea rather than Australia)
  3. The Hyundai i30 Tourer is cheaper, has a bigger boot and comes with a 5 year warranty
  4. Badge value not as strong as the Volkswagen Golf Wagon or Opel Astra Sports Tourer
  5. Rear seats do not fold flat when down

Concluding personality type: Rain Poncho: Other products do the job better
