Hyundai i30 Tourer (2013 Wagon)

Hyundai i30 Tourer

5 Pros

  1. The Tourer still looks pretty good (although the rear is not quite as sharp as the standard i30)
  2. Heaps of interior space and class leading boot size turns the i30 into a proper family car
  3. 5 year warranty (class leading) and a 5 out of 5 star safety rating
  4. Diesel engine available (which in the manual version is one of the most efficient cars available in Australia)
  5. Cheaper than the old, Mexican built Volkswagen Golf Wagon and much cheaper than many bigger competitors such as the Mazda6 Wagon (which incidentally has a smaller boot)

5 Cons

  1. Not as fun to drive as a Mazda 3 or Ford Focus
  2. Some question marks around general visibility
  3. Badge value is improving, but still not European (but probably on par with anything from Japan)
  4. High quality interior can be a little difficult to use (the buttons tend to be too far away)
  5. Towing capacity is probably not as good as most SUV’s

Concluding personality type: Microwave: Every family should consider getting one
