Porsche Cayman (2013 Third Generation 981)

Porsche Cayman

5 Pros

  1. Superb in almost every way. Corners, straight lines, parking spaces – the Cayamn loves them all
  2. Usual high quality Porsche interior and that all important badge
  3. Half the price of the big brother, the 911
  4. Decent boot space that is bigger than some small cars (albeit split into 2 compartments)
  5. Terrific exhaust sound and a reputation for good reliability

5 Pros

  1. The Porsche Boxster is convertible, excellent and cheaper
  2. Electronic handbrake will annoy rally stars
  3. Electronic steering will annoy traditionalists
  4. Options can be expensive and gear change paddles are not standard if you choose the excellent PDK gearbox (you get annoying buttons instead)
  5. There have been reports of some tyre noise and the S version can make the base model seem a little slow (it isn’t)

Concluding personality type: Perfection: Doesn’t exist, but this is close
