1. The Mini Cooper is famous for being terrific fun to drive 
2. The Cooper S adds proper speed and a terrific exhaust sound
3. Significant brand prestige and good fuel efficiency
4. 5 out of 5 star safety for the hatch (and we assume this would transfer to the cabrio version)
5. The convertible roof does not take up any of the boot space when down

5 Cons

1. Excessively expensive compared to the hatch and much uglier with the roof up
2. Very limited rear seat and boot space (unlike the cheaper Volkswagen Golf Convertible)
3. The steering can be a little unsettled under acceleration and the ride is harsh
4. Some reliability concerns with previous models and the servicing and parts can be expensive
5. The non turbo petrol is slow and the interior has some annoying ergonomics (like a hard to read dash)
