Subaru Liberty (Fifth generation 2013 facelift )

Subaru Liberty body

5 Pros

  1. The Subaru Liberty has a very spacious interior (particularly in the rear)
  2. The GT version is very quick and loaded with equipment (although the ride is a bit harsh)
  3. Most of the other versions are quite well equipped and they all have a reversing camera
  4. Good around corners
  5. 5 out of 5 star safety with all wheel drive across the range and an outstanding system called “eyesight” on some models that can help you avoid accidents

5 Cons

  1. The looks. Not horrible, but a little drab, particularly compared to the new Mazda 6
  2. X version is packed with equipment and sits slightly higher than the normal Liberty but is also the same price and lacks the prestige of many European SUV’s
  3. Most of the engines are slow and fuel efficiency across the range lags the field
  4. Dash seems a bit cheap, especially in the expensive versions that are the same price as the Mercedes C Class
  5.  No fold down seats avaliable in the sedan version. This is inexcusable given the boot is smaller than competitors like the Toyota Camry

Concluding personality type: Vegemite: A long term Australian favourite, but there are mixed views on its appeal
