Holden Barina (Sixth generation 2013)

Holden Barina exterior

5 Pros

  1. The Barina looks good (at least in the hatch version) and is much more appealing than the smaller Holden, the Barina Spark
  2. Decent interior space
  3. Easy to drive, which is important in town
  4. Clever new Mylink system (on the most expensive version) acts a little like a smart phone allowing you to stream music from the internet (although it sounds like a car accident waiting to happen if you ask me)
  5. 5 out of 5 star safety

5 Cons

  1. Slow and far from class leading fuel efficiency (updated auto does help a bit though)
  2. Ok around corners, but not as good as the Mazda 2 and Ford Fiesta
  3. Interior feels a little cheap – more nice motel than hotel
  4. Auto version A$1k more expensive than the excellent Honda Jazz and the Barina has 2 years less warranty than the also excellent Hyundai i30
  5. Boot is small for this class

Concluding personality type: Europop: Probably more popular than it deserves to be
