1. The Mazda CX-9 seats 7 in comfort (although boot space is compromised as a result)
2. Standard reversing camera – important given you likely have kids and are tired
3. Some new fancy safety equipment (although they are only available in the most expensive model)
4. Can run on the cheapest petrol
5. Straight line speed surprisingly ok

1. The V6 engine has horrible fuel efficiency. I would wait until this car gets the appropriate electronic updates to bring it in line with competitors
2. The overall model has been around since 2007, so it is getting on
3. The looks. I can’t help but feel it is a bit droopy eyed
4. Not yet crash tested so safety is unknown (which is a shame given that this car will likely be used to hold families)
5. It is heavy, so don’t expect it to be interesting to drive
