5 Pros
- The Toyota Camry is the best selling car in the segment for nearly 20 years and sales are up 25% this year. Doesn’t really matter what I say, you can’t argue with the scoreboard
- Made in Australia
- The Camry is smooth, quiet, roomy, comfortable with no obvious design or mechanical flaws. Like black tea – it deserves to be a staple
- Most versions have a reversing camera and a nice interior
- Big fuel tank and boot built for Australian conditions
5 Cons
- Abstinence styling… well it’s safe
- Except for the hybrid version, fuel efficiency is not exactly class leading (some SUV’s are better)
- The hybrid has a smaller boot, poor towing capacity (300kg vs 1,300kg for the standard Camry) and the rear seats don’t fold down
- Only a 3 year warranty – but Toyota have not got their bullet proof reputation for nothing
- About as fun to drive as paying your tax
Concluding personality type: The middle class: because you spent all your money on a plasma
