Skoda Fabia falls down the rabbit hole
5 Pros
- The Fabia is very similar to the Volkswagen Polo – but built in the Czech Republic not South Africa
- Big boot and decent rear seat space for the size of vehicle
- Very fuel efficient – although this is becoming more and more common in this class
- Good visibility – which is becoming less and less common in this class
- European badge value – well Eastern European badge value anyway…
5 Cons
- Poor interior
- Same price as the better equipped Volkswagen Polo (overseas Skoda’s are cheaper). This is probably because of the more expensive Czech manufacturing compared to South African (Polo’s sold in Europe are built in Spain)
- Getting a bit old – this model has been around since 2007
- 5 speed manual needs another gear for the highway
- Skoda stopped producing the “cake version“
Concluding personality type: Sunrise: Sometimes disappointing, but worth a look
